Southwark Cathedral

Southwark Cathedral Visit - Wednesday 21st March 2018

Although a bit out of the Borough, a dozen or so Members recently visited our nearest cathedral, Southwark, and enjoyed a 90 minute tour under the expert guidance of volunteer Linda to whom our thanks.

The church has a fascinating history with much of the present building only dating back to the last century but with other bits built in the 13th century having survived fires, iconoclasts and bombs.
