Other Events for Members and Friends

Apart from our monthly and special meetings, below are some other events for BBLHS members and their friends during the year.

Make a note in your diary now, and check back regularly for any updates and more details.

Events are organised by different members and the contact in each case is included with the details.  We usually ask for pre-booking to make sure we don't exceed maximum numbers and we don't leave anyone behind! To ensure a punctual start, please aim to arrive 10-15 minutes before the published start time.

Other events which could be of interest to Members are also listed underneath the Society events.

Important Note

All walks, visits or other activities are at the participants own risk and the Society cannot be responsible for any loss, damage or injury.

Sunday 10th May from 1100 to 1600

Bromley Civic Society, the Council and others are celebrating Bromley's own flower with a Broom Day Exhibition in the Glades from 11am to 4pm.

The Mayor will leave the Exhibition for Elmfield Road where he will start the Parade at 12pm.  This will then go up the High Street and along Church Road to Martins Hill.

All are welcome to join .... please wear something green and yellow! There will be a giant Green Man and a life-size Broom Flower walking with us with headdresses for children to wear.

On Martin's Hill, by the War Memorial, there will be speeches, a display, some music and activities...but mostly we'll be there to admire and celebrate the spectacular flowering of the broom!
